Todays music: 'NSync, No Strings Attached

I am working, even if I'm not posting here. Since Monday, I've gotten 5 chapters finished. I'm not exactly happy with that amount of work completed, but when you consider that I baby-sat Monday and Tuesday, I did get at least some done.

James and I had a 'date' Sunday night. We went to see Miss Congeniality. It was the best comedy movie I've seen in a long while. Great movie. But then we rented X-men from Blockbuster and that was cul!

At first when I saw previews for it, I thought it looked stupid. I never was into comics or superheros much as a kid. I did like the Superman movies, but then when I got a certian age (in my teens I think), it just became really lame. The only comic book I've ever gotten was a D&D one and I was highly disappointed in it (mainly because it was part one and I never found the sequals). We watched Mystery Men and I thought that was good. So, when I'd seen a zillion previews for X-men and finally saw one that made it look really good AND I read the Holly Lisle interview about Rogue, I was intrigued. So, I watched X-men and was very much surprised. I LOVED IT! And, I agree with Holly Lisle, Rogue does have more of a story to tell. A story that I plan to read.

In other news, my arms are sore from the workout on Tuesday and my legs are sore from yesterdays workout. Today we took a break and plan on going tomorrow and Saturday. Oh, and we found out that the sled on the leg press weighed more than we thought, so my max on the leg press was actually 350. Cul.

Also, I've decided that after my workouts, I'd go out and play with the monster dog. I figure since I'm sweaty and need a shower anyway, I might as well get covered in dirt, mud, dog slobber and whatever else he may get on me. Yesterday I spent about 20 mins out there. The first five mins was just petting time. He loved it AND he was obiedient. I discovered that he was paying attention when I was teaching him to sit and lay down. I have a smart doggie after all. Now we're working on rolling over, shaking and standing up on his back legs. Lets see how that goes. I just have to remember that he'd rather play then learn, so we'll do both. We bought him a tug toy today. I'll see tomorrow how he likes it.

::sigh:: I spent about 2 hours today on the phone with compaq customer service to have them tell me what I already know: My battery quit working. It won't hold a charge. I told them that everything I've tried won't work, but they made me do them all again. Now they want me to turn off the computer tonight and leave it plugged in for about 12 hours, then see if it's charged. I can tell them it won't work, but they just don't get it. GRR!

I haven't heard back from one critter yet about The Wishers. I'm anxious to hear what they all think about it. Maybe soon some will start rolling in.

I also haven't heard from the publisher I sent a query letter either. So, how long should I wait before sending another? I don't want to bug the poor people, editors have enough to do than to be bothered with queries all the time.

Well, 'tis late. Time to post and go put my sore muscles to bed. TTFN!
