  March 4, 2001:

This is just a quick note. We're heading out of town in a few minutes. We'll be gone to some lectureships until Wednesday.

Everything's going fine. We're trying to make some decisions concerning financial stuff. Do we wait to see if our group policy resurrects itself in April? Do we get on Alabama medicaid? Or take the debt and pay it off ourselves?

We went Friday to my midwives group and to an OB/GYN group and discussed the costs. We need to discuss costs with the hospital too. There's so much!

If I go to the midwives group, I can get an appointment right away (after they see an official pg test), but if I go to the OB/GYN I can't get into the one I want until April. Which is fine because they won't see me until then anyway.

James and I got into a discussion about my writing the other day. I got a so/so crit back from a critter. He didn't say a lot good, but what he did say that was wrong with the story is theoretically fixable. That is, if, I have the imagination to come up with a better ending. Our discussion actually made me want to get back to writing, which I honestly haven't had any desire to continue.

Time to hit the road. TTFN!
