  September 15, 2000:

To the left today is a picture of District 44, a school in Saunders county, NE, that I attended from 1st-4th grade. It is one of the few schools of it's type still in operation.

I'm still disappointed, I haven't even looked at Silver Star all week. Part of me feels that my writing has progressed in the six months since I've looked at it and that I should start back over. I'm not sure what to do, but I do plan on finishing the read through today.

Kisses from Heaven, meanwhile, is developing very nicely. I have my character goals and a partial chapter outline. I'm still fuzzy about the middle part of the book. I see the beginning and the ending so clearly, I just don't know what to do about the middle! This one still promises to be my best one yet! I think I say that every book I write, and I'm sure it's true as my writing progresses.

I'm jealous by what Erin said on her website about having a mentor. I've been bemoaning (whining actually) over the fact that no one will take me under their wing and help and encourage me. James has been a great help, but it would be great if an experienced writer would. I'm glad for Erin that she has someone to help her. I've read her stories and I'm sure she'll make it too. :)

I got another toy yesterday, which occupied my time shopping for it and setting it up. James talked me into buying the external CD-RW drive we've been wanting. I wanted it initially because all my Erin Glen I files would not fit on one disk. Now I can fit all my writing on one disk and still have plenty of room. I never realized though, how long it takes to format them. I just assumed that they would come pre-formatted though, like the 3.5 ones. Uh-well.

Well, time to get breakfast and get to work. I have lots I want to do today! TTFN!
